DISTRICT LEADERSHIP ADDRESSES

Kia Kima District Email Lists

Below is a listing of all the public mailing lists for Kia Kima District. Click on a list name to get more information about the list, or to subscribe, unsubscribe, and change the preferences on your subscription.

All requests for list membership (subscribing) are moderated by approval, as these are for validated membership purposes only.  Registered Scout leaders of the various capacities within our District and Council are generally approved for membership only on those lists for which they have a valid purpose. Example:  Generally, only Commissioners will be approved for the Commissioner list, etc.  A short list of those with a valid reason for any list is provided in the “About” section in the header at top of each List page.

You will need to go to each list page if you want to subscribe to more than one list. You will get a confirmation email which you must reply to; that reply will go to the list owner for final approval.  Failure to supply your full name and BSA registration information will result in a delay or rejection from list membership.

 If you are having trouble using the lists, please contact mailman@mail.kiakimadistrict.org.

Most list messages will originate from the webmaster or District level officers, committee chairs, event chairs, and Commissioners.  The lists are intended for official messages for the various leadership groups, and not for general announcements, discussions, or any purpose not related to district operations, events, and announcements.

 Your replies will, by default, go only to the sender of any message to the list.  This helps to cut down on traffic on the mail server.

All list members are required to conduct themselves according to our various Scouting oaths, promises, laws, mottos, and slogans.  Violators may be removed temporarily or permanently from list membership; those decisions will be made by the list owner and the District Key 3 on an as needed basis.

GENERIC WELCOME MESSAGE

(You will receive one specific to each list you subscribe too; you should save your Welcome message). You can use the instructions here, as they apply to all lists for Kia Kima; however, you MUST replace <listname> with the real listname for the list you are working with.

You must know your password to change your options (including changing the password, itself) or to unsubscribe.

While Mailman will remind you of your mailing list passwords once every month, this feature is DISABLED by default for Kia Kima lists. You can ENABLE this feature if you prefer.  This reminder will also include instructions on how to unsubscribe or change your account options.  There is also a button on your options page that will email your current password to you.
